    Brake Booster Compatible

I want to replace my brake booster (1987 325e without ABS) with one from a 1991 318is (it had ABS, not sure if matters).
Will this booster be compatible with my current brake master cylinder?
e.g., Can it be installed without modifications?

My basic check via RealOEM is saying no?
    http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partxref....eur=&details=1

    Thank you.

The booster is the same for an ABS or non-ABS car. Check the part numbers on realoem.com to see if a 318is uses the same booster as a 325e.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

why a 91 specifically? I ask because there are so many options out there people have come up with in most of the engine swap threads. I'm personally using a booster from a porch 944.

It will 100% interchange. The only issue you may run in to is the location of the brake booster hose hole being different.

Hi this is a question I posted over here >

I've read a couple of places the booster/master cylinder should be from same mfg'r. Car is 89 I and has Girling MC. I'm leaning towards using the ATE 944 booster for my swap. Will the Girling MC work or do I need an ATE MC? Different mounting, seals, stroke or? Any comments about this combo ? Thanks
