Does both ABS sensor needs to be present?

I have both abs for the front passenger and driver side. However only the passenger side is present and install properly the driver side is present but not install since there are no hole to install it in the back of the rotor. Should I delete this? Am i missing something?

You asked if you were missing something yet you said the driver side is missing the sensor...

I am quite sure your ABS is not working without that sensor. It's up to you if you want to fix it or not. Sounds like the driver side strut housing has been replaced with one from a non-ABS car.

^ Your ABS shouldnt work if a component is failed. Theres 2 sensors in the front and 1 in the rear if I recall.

MR325 is right about the strut housing. Sounds like someone replaced it with a NON-ABS model somewhere down the line.

P.S. If you do choose to repair and replace it and the abs light is still on, the ABS relay will likely be your next culprit.

There are sensors on all 4 corners.

Thanks! The strut housing does not have a place for the sensor. I will replace it and make the ABS work.
