Vert specific, rear subframe. Need some advice.

So I'm at a point where the whole rear suspension is disconnected. The only thing holding it in place is the subframe hanging onto the studs. I understand that the usual way to go is to hammer the studs into the interior and the whole thing comes down. Well on the vert the stud holes are kinda hard to get to, so getting the studs back into place seems like it'll be a pita. Anyone has any advice on how to pull the subframe without hammering the studs in?

From doing them on non verts, I dont think you can get it back up without taking the studs out...

Thanks. I guess I'm just trying to avoid the inevitable.

you can cut the bushings apart so the sleeve is left on the stud. Drop the subframe, you may need to pry some. Clear the remaining rubber off the sleeve with a box cutter and then dremel a groove where you can get a three jaw puller on there. Specifically, I used a caged three jaw puller.

If you do a good job on the sleeve gooves and spray penetrating oil on the stud, it'll pop right off, stud intact.

Hmm... Sounds reasonable. I think I'll try doing it this way. I can always leave the hammering as the last resort. Thanks man.
