Ticking noise in the rear

i heard a slight ticking noise from my rear end of my e30 its an 87 325e soo i have the 2.93 diff i think i drained the fluid and itlooked like normal used diff fluid and i didnt see any metal shavings could it be an axle problem? its onlywhen i take off and get up to 30 but im to scared to go any faster.

Have you changed your wheels or lug bolts recently? If your lug bolts are too long, they will hit the parking brake mechanism and cause a ticking noise.
