interesting. There was a muffler which was basically blocking all access to the CSB area on my 318is, so I'm not sure if I would have been able to reach that large nut without removing the exhaust from the headers. Regardless, apparently it is possible without removing that gas line. In the end, it worked out and I got everything squared away and back together.
