Whats better than a brembo kit? you tell me

Looking to upgrade brakes on the ol e30 m3. I would post on s14 but I jus dont feel like getting nailed to a tree with my pants down for dropping a s52 in the bimmer.

Got me thinking, my buddy did an upgrade on his 190, took some e320 rotors and calipers (14" mind you) and stuck them on. Stops like (insert some flashy good analogy here)

Is there anything I Can bolt on? Im thinking like 5er brakes, maybe an e34 m5? Anyone know if they fit?

I could get parts a lot cheaper instead of throwing down $1800 on damn brembos.... Not a big fan of that cross drilled crap, save it for the hondas.

SBI sells rotor spacers ($180/pair or so) that allow you to run e36 M3 brakes in the front.

All you need is a new pair of e36 M3 rotors (315x28mm) and a pair of good used calipers.

I have this setup on my car and it stops like WOAH.

...And wheels with the E36 offset

The spacers add 12mm to the offset, most wheel will still work fine.

e36 offset simply is not required. I have ET41 17x7.5 DSII's on my front, and I could easily push them out another 10mm.

Figure the spacer pushes it out 12mm, now ET 29. If I pushed it out another 10mm (right to the edge of the fender) it would become ET19.

So that said a 17x7.5 ET20 wheel would be perfect.

            "Im thinking like 5er brakes"

You have 5 series brakes on the M3....

Jordan has a good upgrade and for the cost it's the best bang for buck...

Though if you want to you can put some money in your current braking system; SS lines, new fluid, upgrade the MC, different pads and better tires. Those would all increase your braking power and slow down the car faster. You don't have to drop money in a BBK.... of course if you are boiling your brakes, warping rotors, and running out of brakes on the track, that is a different story.
