I see that Rockauto has Raybestos and ACdelco control arms that are aluminum. Anyone ever try them? I feel like they would be an upgrade over lemforder steel one.

aluminum control arms came on the 90 m3, pre 90 they were steel.
its a "upgrade" but does not make a diference in any other way besides weight and they are like over twice as much as steel

they are cheaper than oem, but i am only finding the left arm?!?!
If i can find the other side i would be willing to try them.

The only aluminum control arm for the E30 is OEM BMW. That pic shows an E46 arm.Comment

Those are E46 control arms you posted. If you are thinking about spending a good bit on control arms, it would be worth it to go big and get tubular front control arms like the ones VAC sells.-AlexComment
