Cannot align trailing arm back into the subframe

    Hey,

I'm in the middle of a bushing job and I've installed IE Poly bushings in my trailing arms. I'm now trying to reinstall the trailing arm into the subframe and it just won't align. It's off at least a 1/4". Any tricks to getting these back in?

Looks like one bushing isn't fully seated.

The trailing arms bend relatively easily. They can get bent while removing and intalling the bushings. With a little creativity depending on the tools you have available you can bend them back into place.

I had to stretch or squeeze mine to get it back in. I can't remember which but I put one leg in with the bolt through and the nut started but not tight and pushed or pulled on the other leg until I got it back in.

Hey, did you figure it out? looks to me like you have one of the bushings in backwards. the thick part of the bushings need to be on the outside.

I haven't touched it since. hmmm never knew the bushing halves were different thicknesses.
