A dab of anti-seize behind the new rotor, yes?Originally posted by DrMcDavei have had an eventful 2 days here, anyway whats the best way to get a stuck rotor off. and yes the set screw is out.
They're right, though...get a RLY BFHComment

I love my airhammer. 10 second zap and everything comes off. Beat the BFH method, but still the BFH works if you don't have air tools.Comment

Put one lug bolt on slightly. Get behind it and wack it and turn as you hit. Just.... keep hittin ;) The lug on it will keep the rotor from FLYING off when it breaks loose.

Scrub the hub with a wire brush then put a little anti-seize on it to prevent the new one from getting stuck.Adam Fogg- '88 M3

Probably not a great idea to use a torch on the hub/bearing. I do brakes almost every day at work and I've never had a rotor that won't come off with a couple good whacks with a hammer.Originally posted by uflnucengI like using a cheap propane tourch around where the rotor meets the bearing, then beating it with a BFH.
Definitely thread a lug bolt in a bit to keep the rotor from flying.'91 318is
