Wheel hop and rear end preferance(dragging)

Ok first of a little description of the car:

    1987 325is
    m50 turbo (300whp)
    eibach suspension
stock front struts and kyb rear shocks

First i took it to the drag strip today and just could not get a good launch! Either wheel hop or just spinning! What is the first thing to check for on wheel hop? Trailing arm bushings? What else? Also where is the best place to get bushings and what kind? Polyurethane?

Also on the second question: I'm running the 4.10 lsd and it just seems like first gear is pretty much useless! Would 3.73 do the job? Like i said i mostly drag with the car.

On a sad note my best time was 14.2! :( my average 60 ft was around 2.5 :(
I know i should be able to do alot better than this but just cant seem to launch it very good!

This is just the nature of a trailing arm suspension. Also, you'd be better with a 3.25 or lower LSD. 4.10 is already a very high ratio for an M50 swap.
Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

Trailing arm and subframe bushings. If you haven't already, just replace them with poly or delrin. If they are the factory installed parts or even replacement rubber parts they won't be up to spec for drag racing a 300 hp car. What kind of trap speeds were you getting? I'm assuming a high trap speed with a low 60' time.

Trap speed is right at 100.
