Early model proportioning valve hard lines

    Hey Guys,

New to the forums, just bought an 87is and having a hell of a time with the brake system :).

I had diagnosed a bad booster and was just finishing up the installation of a new one when I accidentally cross threaded the last hard line going into the MC . I had thought I was being careful, I guess not careful enough!

The damage wasn't too bad as the line I cross threaded is literally 2 inches long, and connects to a junction directly under the MC. From some research I have found that the junction is the proportioning valve specific to the 87 model.

Question is, now I need to replace this tiny line, but I can't find anywhere online with a reference to it. I'm even having trouble finding a brake line diagram that has the early model proportioning valve.

This is the valve I'm talking about - http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E30-325i...-/370457982933

    Any suggestions?!

I can't find the part on realoem.com, but I'll bet your dealer can find it.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Hey Jlevie thanks for this - I actually was able to pick up an adjacent line from a parts car and inand install it (has to bend a bit). A good stopgap until i can find the part.
