Parking brake cleaning recommendations

Just disassembled my 85s rear trailing arms in preps for a 5 lug conversion and the parking brake are covered with close to 30 years of dust and crud.
Any suggestions on the best way to clean and prep them for reassembly?

brake cleaner and a wire brush. I like using a plastic bristle brush. also had good luck with simple green.
