New brake booster, no power assist. Absoutely stumped.

In my s50 swapped car I am running an e32 brake booster and an e34 m50 master cylinder with a 2002 remote reservoir, and cannot get power brakes to work.

I have replaced the brake booster with a brand new unit
replaced o-ring between master cylinder and brake booster
I sprayed the junction between the master cylinder and booster with starter fluid when the car was running, there aren't any vacuum leaks there.
I have checked the intake manifold for vacuum - it is there
The check valve is not in backwards
my master cylinder is not leaking into the booster
there are no blockages anywhere in my booster vacuum line
    brakes have been bled

Anyways, if anyone has any input for me I would be very grateful, it has been quite a while since I last drove my car :(

Check the adjustment of the push rod between the pedal and the booster. There must be some free play there.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
