    M3 Soild CAB's

Is there any trick to getting these suckers on besides warm water and soap? Am I too weak or something?

    Thanks

Use a hydraulic press. Make sure to use a collar that hits the inner metal sleeve so you don't tear them. Put middle ball joint end on bottom of press, place new bushing and bracket on control arm, hold the whole thing steady, and there ya' go. Did mine this weekend, freakin sucked, handles great now.

hes putting them on the car, not pressing them into the lollipops...

some1 said lube em up? what kinda lube is to be used, i have to put mine on also. PS: dont use soap, when it dries it will act like adhesive and cause it to bind.

The rubber ones are supposed to grip the control arm.

Exactly. You don't want any movement in them at all. That's why they're rubber, so the center grips the arm, and the rest of the bushing flexes.

I used some soapy water as a lube, started the CAB on by hand, took a deep socket just large enough to fit over the control arm end, and a couple of gentle taps and it was all the way on.

good to hear you got them on. after 3 weeks of a suspension rebuild, the CABs were the last thing to go on and I could not get them on for the life of me with a little soap and water. I was getting frustrated. So finally I loaded it up with like 5 times more soap and they slipped right on. Just let them dry up real well before driving on them if you used a lot of soap.
