How to remove lollipop from control arm without destroying bushing.

    I suspect this is the OEM m3 bushing... Right? If thats the case then soapy water isn't going to do shit, and freezing the bushing is going to do the exact opposite of what you are trying to accomplish... There is a metal inner sleeve; metal on metal is lubricated with a magnetic lubricant known as PB Blaster. Freezing the I.D. to try and slide it OVER the O.D. of something is . Physics, buddy, physics... That works the other way around...

                  I had this problem before and I used a 3 claw puller from autozone, the only thing its better if you have an extra set of hands and if the control arm is off the car. Just put it in a vice and make sure the pin from the puller doesn't dance around.

                    Exactly my point... You are trying to save the bushings while replacing your control arms correct? If you were installing new bushings into the lollipops then yes freezing them would work, but you are doing the opposite.
