    Re-using front wheel bearings

I know pulling the front hubs usually leaves the inner race stuck to the spindle. Question is- Could you re-install them after you remove them?

Hear me out- The hubs are new; I installed them about 4 months ago. They've got to be removed to do some work on the struts. I really don't want to buy another set of hubs since these ones have barely 2500 miles on them.

    What do ya'll think?

You can reuse the hubs as long as you don't damage them removing the inner race.

if you removed them with a slide hammer, you run the risk of damaging the bearing itself. Id replace them.

I used a hub puller the last time I changed them.

As long as it comes apart properly you can definitely re-use it. I've done it before.

What work are you doing to the struts that needs the hubs removed?

Sending them in to GC to get shortened, braced, and powder coated.

just leave the hubs attached. Only problem might be if you want to remove the dust shield, otherwise I can't see what problem they would cause if you leave them attached.

Problem solved. Hubs came off easily and in one piece.
