    Brake m/c "upgrade"

I'm getting ready to replace all the steel brake lines and rubber hoses on my car and am planning on installing a new m/c at the same time. I think mine has an internal leak (pedal slowly sinks if I'm holding the brakes on an incline) and I figure now would be a good time to replace. For now, I'm going to stay with stock calipers (rebuilt a few years ago), upgraded pads and Brembo blanks but am considering going with the IE BBK for 15" wheels in the future (might be going turbo or s/c). Do I need to upgrade to a bigger m/c or is the stock setup fine? The brakes work decent now but the lines look crusty so it's time to do some maintenance.

I had basically the same thing happen to me in my car with the only difference being that it didn't matter if I was on an incline or not, my pedal would always "sink" slowly wherever I was.

Are you replacing the lines with stainless? I replaced my lines with stainless hoping to get a "firm" pedal feel and didn't get it till I replaced the master cyl.

..... Now to the master cyl. I replaced mine with one from a "91 750il" it made a huge difference in feel, very firm compared to before, cost less (atleast when I bought it) than the replacement E30 master, and best of all it fits like the E30 one does!

    Hope that helps some...
