I need to drop the rear subframe from a wrecked shell and the parking brake cables are the last thing to disconnect. What's the easiest way to remove those. The nuts are gone at the lever, but a modest tug from underneath is not moving anything.

They're probably just catching at the lever. The ends tend to get slightly hooked on the ends of the tubes in the cabin. It's easiest if you have an extra person to have them help guide while you pull from the bottom. If everything is loose you might be able to push the cables down a bit to get past the hangup point.88 325is - S52 powered
