    e30 brake fluid green?

Hey guys. I just bought an e30 recently its a 1990. I checked the brake fluid reservoir today and found some green fluid on top. This is odd. I am wondering if the previous owner accidentally poured a little coolant in there or something. Is this bad?

I was hoping to get some new brake lines and flush the fluid. I have never seen green fluid inside the brake reservoir before. Any suggestions?

The brakes pretty soft, I was assuming there could be air in the system. Now I see green and think it may be coolant.

You could be right. In any case I'd flush the brake system a couple of times. A pressure bleeder makes that a trivial task. Push a measured 250cc through one rear caliper, and 150cc through every other caliper.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Green like antifreeze green or streaks of green? If they had ATE super blue fluid in there and some moisture got in, I could see that being partially green.
