    Solid caliper guides / bushing

So I like the idea of the nice brass caliper guides that turner / bimmerworld sells. They all say no-go for girling calipers. I was looking at my calipers today and decided they have to come off, bead blast, paint and rebuild and I'd like to throw these on, but I can't find any for the girling calipers. Any ideas? Are there ATE calipers I can get at the junkyard that are plug and play, that I can bring back to life? Any other options? Are these gizmos a gimick and I shouldn't waste my time?

--ok the search tool works, before I got no good search results, this has been asked before, I need to track down some ate calipers.

ATE calipers were on the early model cars, and will bolt right on. I've heard they help, I was thinking about going that route on my car, but I've got 4-psiton calipers now ready to go on the front.

Girlings are better than the ATE's. Basically... the Girlings already have solid guides.

well i suppose the determining factor will be when I tear apart the ones I have and see if the piston is rusted or pitted, if it's all good I'll rebuild the ones I have. Thanks for the heads up.
