    Upgrading discs

I'm planning to get some different brake discs and could use some help. I've been speaking to a guy who was about to upgrade the brakes on his 325i, but unfortunately he totaled his car the other day, so I could get a good deal for completely new Tar-ox front and rear discs:

They measure 280mm (front) and stock in the rear. Will the 280mm discs work along with stock brake calipers or do I need something else for it to work?

Doesn't answer your qestions, but a lot of people have problems with cross drilled rotors. The holes cause cracks to form. Just a consideration.

Cross drilled rotors will provide years of happy usage IF you buy ones that were forged that way, and not drilled later on. Its the rotors that are drilled after they are cast that develop problems. Id personally save a little cash and just spring for decent pads and at most ATE powerslots. I picked up Turners performance kit (ATE Powerslots in front, stock rears with Axxis Ultimate ceramic pads all around) for like 2 hundred something and I love it. Anything more would be a waste of money if you ask me.

doubt you could use stock calipers since stock rotors are 260. You could always get them and try though. BTW how much are those rotors?

I think you can only downgrade your rotors.

This is usually true, unless you're increasing the surface area of the entire rotor.

I like the idea behind the slotted rotors, but I think c-drilled is overkill for any application that people will want it for on this board.
