Banging noise in rear

I just got done putting on new rotors and pads all around on my 87 and on a short test drive, I heard a loud bang noise comming from the rear as I was slowing down (I was almost stopped when it happened) So I carfully drove it home and looked at the reat brakes and they looked ok. It is not a clunk noise, but a bang like metal to metal. I don't have the parking brake pads in right now because I am waiting for them. Any ideas of the problem?

Maybe something with the parking brake banging agasint the inside of the rotor?
