Rear brakes won't bleed, ABS help

    **UPDATE**

So, if you're like me and had the master off the car for a while and had to re-do the lines coming off the master because you're doing a booster delete, here's what's up:

    1. The proportioning valve has four ports. Two on one side, two on opposite ends. One of the ports on opposite ends is "fatter" than the other - this is the port that feeds the rear brakes. The port directly next to it is for the line coming off the master cylinder.
    2. Don't be a noob, label shit and take pictures.

    Sup Bros,

So my rear brakes won't bleed. At all. Took the input line off the tee in the rear and put as much weight into the brake pedal as possible - no movement. Something's jammed up. So, I've got two questions that I couldn't find using the search function, maybe I wasn't using the right keywords or something.

    1. The rear brake pressure comes off the master from the port that's furthest from the firewall, right?
    2. Anyone ever seen the proportioning valves go bad?

It's either one of these things -or- something's blocked up. just let me know please.

      Vacuum bleeding doesn't work either?

Will the ABS pumps get airlocked that badly? Which port is the input?

My rears wouldn't bleed, thought it was the soft lines....turns out the rear circuit from my master cyl is shot and won't hold pressure.

Yeah, I've got my suspicions that it's either the master or the ABS pump. What I wanted to double check is that the e30 masters have the rear circuit at the port furthest from the firewall, like most master cylinders.

There are too may possibilities at the moment (master cylinder, ABS unit, bias valve, or plugged line). Start at the master cylinder by barely cracking the line and check for fluid release. Continue to the next fitting in the circuit until you reach a point where no fluid is released. The failure will then be between the last release point and that point.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

mmmkay, that's the general plan (as soon as I can get someone to work the pedal for me), but...

the port on the master furthest from the firewall is for the rear circuit, right?

I don't know of any masters that aren't setup that way.

Me either, but it never hurts to double check. I really just needed to know so that I knew which port was the input for the rear brakes on the ABS pump. But thanks for confirming.

Get a pressure bleeder and then you won't need a helper and will have an easy way to flush the system.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

So.... I solved the problem. I did a massive booster delete to this car and had it all apart for about a year. Couldn't remember which line went to where... in any case, I had the lines coming off the master to the proportioning valve switched up. No idea how I got the brakes to bleed last time... but in any case, it flows free now.
