Getting caliper piston out

Caliper's not seized, I can push the piston in, but I can't pull it out. I'd do the old trick hooking it up to an air compressor, but I don't have access to one. Any ideas?

I can't remeber how the dust boot mounts to the piston, but on some there is a lip where it mounts, just pull the boot off, then use a screwdriver to pry on the lip to pull the piston out.

or try ussing a pair of channel locks, on the lip where the boot sits to twist the caliper out, just don't pry or mar any of the machined surface

Air compressor works wonderfully. I would try to use one. I got little pieces of wood to inch the caliper out so it didn't fly into a car or my nutsack. lol

Yeah, pounded the sh*t out of the piston with a screwdriver and hammer on the lip last night. Presses back in just fine, but won't come out. I think what's happening is the rubber O-ring inside is folding, causing resistance as I'm trying to pull it out.

I haven't tried this one myself, but, I have heard others using a bicycle pump instead of "air compressor".

If you could get someone to hold the nozzle on the caliper, that would maybe work.

i'm a dumbass. I forgot my roommate had an air compressor that goes with his bradnailer. Got it out. :)

It wasn't seized, the seal was just really sticking for some reason.
