    318iS Brake Master Cylinder

    Hey peeps!

I'm tired of dealing with my braking issues...
    (read here)

    I decided to switch back to the stock master cylinder setup however the part number for the 318iS is 34 31 1 161 866 vs the 325i's 34 31 1 157 206.

Both are 22/17 as far as I'm concerned. What the heck is the difference between the two? They're both for ABS systems but the former is nearly $300 whereas the 206 is about $200.

Anyone run into this issue when purchasing a new master?

That's very strange that they'd have different masters. The braking systems are exactly the same.

    Go with the cheaper one!

We shall see. Going to sign up for a DE in the near future to check. So far the car stops well and pedal feel is actually similar to the 25mm master. I think that has more to do with the E21 booster though.
