Ball joint orientation

Replacing the ball joints in my control arms, had a stupid attack and forgot to mark the orientation of the notches on the old joints. The replacement inner ball joints came with a diagram but the outer joints didn't. Does it matter how the outer joints are oriented? Thanks

Did you get in all in there? I'm in need of replacing my front ball joint and don't want to buy a new control arm. What tool did you use to get the ball joints in?

If you've got a 20ton press it's really easy, just mark where the notches are on the old ones before starting.
