    Favorite strut bar

I'm in the market for a strut bar and or an x-brace for my E30. I was looking at the Sparco strut brace, looks stout and is fairly cheap. Thoughts on this? X-brace, is it better to modify an e36 vert brace or just buy one that is made for the E30? Any recommendations regarding a brand?

    Thanks

Can't go wrong with a Sparco bar. I sell those for $120 shipped.

As for the x-brace, an E36 one will be cheaper but you'll need to get some blind rivets for a bolt up affair. Garagistic makes a nice one as well for a bit more money but it was made specifically for our cars

The only thing I don't like about the sparco strut bar is that it hits the plastic mounting piece for the cruise control

I just installed Mason's X-brace on my Cabrio this past weekend. It's very well made and substantial. Fit like a tight glove. Between that and new bushings, control arms, and springs, she drives like a dream. No more rattle and looseness over uneven pavement (especially noticeable in turns). Now I've just got to drop the rear to refresh all that.

I highly recommend Mason's brace, especially for a Cab.
