    Normal Front Brake Pad Wear?

    Hey guys.

I was servicing my brakes when I was fixing my lower steering linkage. My pads have been in about 2 years and around 140K km. Both sides had even wear, but I did notice one thing.

The inboard pad was more worn than the outer, but I compared both sides and they were similar, and I'm not having any brakes issues. Is is a normal wear pattern for the front brakes?

    Thanks

you generally get slightly more on the side with the piston in a sliding caliper. It's pretty normal and nothing much to worry about unless it's vastly different which can point to caliper piston being stuck. In normal use I seem to remember being told it was due to the piston side applying force a fraction earlier as it's designed to pull the outside pad towards the rotor, so the side with the piston is applying a greater force for a time, hence the slightly uneven wear.
Just a little project im working on
