Best brake setup that can fit under 15s?

what would be my best bet for a track oriented setup that fits under 15s?

i was thinking axxis ultimate brake pads with slotted or maybe cross drilled rotors front and rear with brake ducting

i'm open to any suggestion that doesn't include a 5lug swap

    anyone have any ideas?

    Here's what I'm running:

    Turner Motorsport SS Brake lines
    ATE Type 200 Fluid
    All rebuilt calipers (myself!)
COMPLETELY bled system, of course (my fluid doesn't even get dirty!)
    Axxis Ultimates
    Brembo's in Rear
    ATE Power Discs in Front
    Stock Brake ducts

Not a single ounce of fade on the track, and the things grabbed like mad!

I loved my brakes, they kicked ass!

Someday, I'll go five lug, but this will hold me over for now.

      consider larger brake master cylinder

The master cylinder off an ix is supposed to aid a little bit.

Don't see why it would, it's the same 17mm MC as the i.

25mm I think, pretty sure the writeup for the m3 applies to your car as well, not positive: http://www.e30m3performance.com/inst.../25mc/25mc.htm

so I have a 17 mm master cylinder on the car right now? so if i increase to a 25mm the pedal will be stiff as hell? is it worth it? anyone done this before?

Pedal stiffness is the only upgrade i belive. It will not upgrade your braking i bleive.

The stock master cylinder is 22mm.

The M3 master cylinder is 23mm.

The master cylinder from a 750 is 25mm.

Upgrading will only make the pedal stiffer. It will NOT increase braking ability - the only thing that will affect brake ability are pads, rotors, and fluid.

my dad has mentioned something to do with hydraulics. long story short smaller master cylinder would increase the pressure? putting the same amount of pressure on less fluid would result in more pressure. anyone hear of this?

It won't even make the pedal stiffer! All you're doing is trading mechanical advantage for pedal travel. Larger MC = more volume = less pedal travel to displace the necessary amount of brake fluid.

Remember - the cost of this is increased brake effort.

                          Yes. Force/Area = Force/Area Basic Physical principle.

If you increase the area (going from the standard 20.64mm MC to a 25mm MC) you must increase the force proportionally. Therefore, you have to apply ~21% more pedal force to achieve the same amount of brake torque.

Or In my case, I've got 4-pots up front and will be adding larger rears shortely. I installed a 750 MC as the larger brakes require more fluid, up untill installing my rear Bias valve the pedal was stiffer then stock. But now it feels about the same.
