I am the only person I know of to use the EBC yellow stuff pads. Honestly I love them. Its supposed to have the bite of a racing pad from cold. I would say its got 75% more bite than a factory pad but not quite a racing bite. They are kevlar I think. Anyhoo the rotor wear is very very minimal due to the non metalic composition. I just really like them :)

No, I have drilled brembos, and I put in my SS lines and high temp fluida few months back. These pads are now lik 9 mo old. I got them when they first came out. Awesome braking! :)

How does the rotor wear compared to stock pads?

There is next to no rotor wear after 20k with these pads. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a really aggressive pad that hardly ever gets tracked. The bit from cold is so nice.

Hopefully someone else will chime in with their pad recomendations too.

You can't have more bite without causing more rotor wear. More bite = higher coefficient of friction = rotor wear.

A lot of people consider competition pads as dusty - this is true only under extreme braking. For basic daily driving, since you won't get them that hot, you will get less dust because of the harder compound of competition pads. On the counter point, more rotor wear.

I recommend carbotech panther plus or hawk hp plus (assuming you dont mind brake squeal).

Another thing to consider, rotors are cheaper (and as easy to replace) than good pads for our cars! Id rather have my rotors wear faster than my pads.

                what material are 'yellow stuffs'???

im not really willing to dump that much money on my brakes. i dont track my car at all and i just do canyons.. alot (3+ times a week) and i just want to upgrade the pads a bit...

has anyone also tried combining pads to adjust brake bias?? i noticed that during really really hard braking that the back tires would lock...

what brake pads are everyone else using, and opinions please

Hawk Ceramics from Tire Rack. Using them with Frozen Rotors (plain). Awesome. Simply awesome. No noise, the dust is whitish, and the braking is the best I've yet experienced on this car.
