    Stainless Steel Brake Lines

Simply question: Are they worth getting?

If you track: yes. they theoretically deteriorate less from heat, and protect your lines from tears.

If you don't track: meh maybe not worth it. However they do at least protect your lines a little better.

Keep in mind, there really isn't a difference between DOT and non-DOT approved steel lines.
DOT approved just cost more. You can get a not-approved set for 100$ or so. Might as well upgrade IMO.

Got mine from Blunttech. Very reasonable price and very good quality.

I have seen the SS lines pull out of the end fittings. I don't know if they were DOT approved or not. Other than the bling factor I see no advantages to SS lines over the OE lines except perhaps on a full up race car. And even then The OE lines hold up just fine if changed every few years when you rebuild the calipers.

If you are going to get SS lines, get the best ones you can, like from Bimmerworld, Turner, etc.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
