Girling frt. caliper...any areas that can be lubed

?.......I have a bit of a sticky caliper,... On the Ate calipers you can lube up the guide bolts......but I cant figure out what to do on the Girlings. I noticed some hi speed brake shimmy at the track....and after pulling the pads, they are wearing a bit skewed....whereas the lt side are wearing parallel to the pad backing plates. I put in new pds./rtrs.......I guess I could have had a warped rotor also......I dont want to spring for new calipers yet.... a rebuild maybe......tia

The guide pins on the girlings can get bent. Find one and replace it.

The guid pin and rubber boot should come out together. If you have the pin in your hand, just take the boot off the caliper.

here you go...one with just the carrier, and one completely assembled...

When you pull to two pieces of the caliper apart, the guide pins just float in the carrier. They're just held in there by the little rubber booties until it's all put together. When I pulled mine apart, they had some surface rust on the pins, and I sprayed the holes in the carrier out with carb cleaner and Q-tips until it wasn't rusty anymore. I replaced everything on them except for the two cast pieces and the piston.

BTW, those seals on the pistons are a mother f*****.

Just pull on the boots. They go around a lip on the bracket. They will come right off. Then the pins come out with it. Easy as pie.
