e46 LCA, track car only, test fit questions

    Hello

I am preparing to install e46 lower control arms on an e30 iC race car. I want to test fit everything before I buy all new parts so I have some "junk" stuff to test with.

For the lower control arm rear mount I have a used e30 lollipop with delrin insert and a e46 Bimmerworld? 2 piece insert. My plan is to mill the delrin and install the e46 insert just for test fitting. The car has fully adjustable upper strut mounts. Where do I want to orientate the e46 insert?

Also I want to use different struts/uprights depending on class or race type. Is it possible to use an e30 tube or are the e36/e46 hub/spindles required? I ask this as I have a very light 318i Alpina/Bilstein set up with small brakes that is good for autocross and sometimes I run vintage where the layout needs to be close to stock...

Pictured is the LCA junk bushings I want to test fit with.

    Thanks

    Al Taylor
