540i brakes

I know this has been covered somewhere but how effective are these brakes over standard e30 calipers? I know you need to make a bracket to fit the brakes on, does anyone know the diminsions or who sells it. Can I fit the brakes under a 15" wheel?

Which generation 540? You'll need at least a 16in wheel, and even then only certain 16s may work.

its 95 540 with the 4.4L The car came with 16" wheels on it. Thanks again

Would an e34 5 lug swap be possible? Worth the hastle? I have an m5 that will likely get a bbk and i figure i might as well throw the old brakes and wheels on the e30 while im at it. This kinda falls along the same lines as 540 brakes right? Sry if im hijacking the thread.

Thanks for the link, so if you're using the 540i caliper you need a 17" wheel, thats to bad.
