    Brake Bleeding Issues!!

So I got my new rotors and SS lines in the other day and decided to put them in after work instead of waiting till I got back from my vacation. Started at 7pm. Got the first corner (front passanger side) done as it was getting dark. Moved onto the front driver side wich went even smoother. Now to the backs. Took a little work to get the car in the air ( i was at my friends who has a hill for a driveway). Got the back passanger side done. Went to do the inner ss lines and just about killed myself. What a bitch that was. Figured out a few ways to make it easier and got it done. Went to the rear driver and finished that up around 2:30am or so. Now just when I thought I was done, I run into another problem. Went to bleed the brakes. Didnt really have the right tubing to do it, but ended up using rc fuel line wich did the trick. Bleed the rear passanger no problem. There was surprisingly no bubbles. Went to bleed the rear driver side and no fluid would come out. checked the rear lines and didnt see any leaks that I could tell. Checked the reservior for fluid and it appeared full. Went back to the passanger side rear and it continued to pump out fluid when I bleed it. I dont know what to do. I put the car back together and test drove it. Brakes worked. Pedal was VERY soft. Obviously had air in the lines. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Can someone post a DIY on manualy bleeding the brakes without a preasure bleeder or anything so i can double check and make sure im not forgetting anything.

    Thanks.

The bleeder on the side that nothing was coming out of might be bad/clogged. Pull it completely out of the caliper and see if there is any debris in it.

When I did my rotors and pads I also got new caliper piston o-rings and dust covers.
When I took caliper apart it was full of trash. My bleeder valve holes were clogged just as NitroRustlerDriver said. Used brake parts cleaner to clean out and worked great. Also you should consider completely flushing all the old fluid out.

I was planning on doing this. In order to do a full flush do you just bleed the system until only new stuff comes out?

Just picked up new bleeder valves and a master cylinder bench bleeder kit.

Have someone pump up the brakes until they are "hard" or at least 4-5 times if it doesnt get hard. Then have them hold the pedal down as far as they can and you open the bleeder screw. Some fluid will come out and then stop. When it stops, close the bleed screw. Then the person in the car can let up off the pedal and repeat the process until you have a steady stream come out of the bleeder with no bubbles. Probably 3-4 times per caliper should get you a good feeling pedal.

I know how to bleed the brakes. I got that far. Just cant get one of the calipers to bleed. Thanks for the imput though.

I'm like, WAY less than a novice. The pressure bleeder made it SO easy. One man job. Otherwise, be careful you don't shear off the bleed screw when you're tightening, like I did. They say only do it snug, not tight. Snug.
