    when setting up your suspension?????

I was talking to a friend of mine today and he is helping me in my suspension swap. I am replacing everything under the car. New control arms, tie rods, all new polly bushings, and a new diff. I am using the Ground Control kit for the suspension. When getting an alignment from the dealer they always place sandbags in the trunk (called Loading). Now are you to still sandbag the trunk to be able to balance the car correctly?

Also what alignment numbers is one looking for?

    TIA

    My kit is
    450/750 GCK
    215-45-17 wheels

Are you asking if you should always run a sandbag in the trunk? I would say no to that. BMW thought about weight distribution pretty well.

      Not just in the trunk.

The propper way to do an allignment is to load up the car to how it will be on the road. You are supposed to add weight to the driverseat, passenger seat, and the trunk. The reason for this is because allignment specs change depending on how they are loaded.

Since you need to corner balance your car, I wouldn't bother loading up the trunk because you don't know if you will place the sandbag exactly centered in the trunk for example. It could potentialy throw off your corner ballance.
It probably won't hurt to load up the seats though...
