Working on power steering, now master cyl problem...

I was replacing the PS lines from the reservoir, and I bumped the brake master cyl and now the master cyl reservoir is loose from the master cyl, and leaking fluid. I went online to find a new part, but only find the master cyl itself (it is a Girling BTW), not the reservoir portion. It would appear that the reservoir just pushes into the top of the master cyl. Do I just need to replace the plugs (item 2)? I assume so since it came apart so easily. Any knowledge on this subject would be appreciated. TIA

They DO come out pretty easily, every time I've ever had to work on one.

Can you push it back in and have it not leak?

If you're not comfortable with just doing that or the resivoir leaks excessively, go ahead and replace the plugs.

Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out tomorrow. Would prefer to not have to bleed the whole system unless I have to.

If you do pull it off, I suggest removing as much fluid as possible with the turkey baster. Otherwise, fluid will flow like a water fall all over your engine bay!
