my brakes do not work at all!

well, heres the scoop, i bought this 87 325iS for 100$ its a 5speed, runs and drives but there are no brakes what so ever. when i step on hte pedal, it goes down about 1/4 of a inch and its hard as a rock. the calipers do not move either, the brake fluid is full to max allowed and i tried bleeding them and nothing comes out of the bleeder. no leaks anywhere, and i have no idea what the problem is as i never owned a bimmer. but im assuming its in the cyclinder. maybe not, hopefully somebody can help so i dont spend 500$ trying to fix. i have a 3mo. old baby, and a 01 jetta for here, so this will be my toy car, but i'd like to have it up and moveable before winter sets in. thanks for any help.
1987 325iS, what more do you want for 100$? whats better than a shiny running/driving bimmer?

You may have a clogged master cylinder.... or could it be that All 4 calipes are rusted shut.lol
You obviously have no flow when you bleed to any of the 4 wheels... So that leads me to think that you have something obstructing the flow of the fluid at the source. Master cylinder....

i am starting to think, after reading every damn article i could find that my booster is just bad in general, but, one thing i dont understand is if it was bad, if i stomped the pedal i would still have enough brake to stop the car if it was going 5mph, but, when i stomp the pedal it does absolutly nothing, just moves about 1/2 inch and makes a his noise, thats all, im wondering if the calipers are froze considering i get no fluid through the bleeders.

Sounds to me like your master cylinder is bad, but it could be seized calipers, however it is unlikely that all four are seized.

Check the calipers for rust and/or wear. It should be pretty evident if they are seized. Otherwise, I would start by replacing the MC.

Hmmm ihave a similar problem but no hising noise. THe brake pedal is rock solid and doesnt stop the car at all. Car also has been sitting a while. how can i tell if its the booster or the MC?

Take off the lines that connect to the MC, then have someone press the brake pedal to see if fluid comes out. If so, then reconnect and go further down the line. But start at the MC to make sure it is actually moving fluid.
