    Component Selection ( brakes-struts-arms-bushings...)

Thanks in advance to any replies...

I have an 85 318i that will be reciving an s52-ODBI during a build project of about 6-12 months, paint, interior, body, lighting also to be addressed, but i'm trying to plan/budget a complete front/rear susp. and brake upgrade, hoping some input from what setups others have tried in conjunction, or just in general, so if anyone has any "simi-dream" setups, or budget setup ideas as well, any imput is of great value.

    thinking...

    325 larger strut housings
    new inserts ( undecided )
    springs ( undecided )
e36 rack and new tie rod ends
    control arms ( new - oe )
    CABs ( undecided )
    swaybars
    brakes ( ? )
    rear arm bushings
    subframe bushings
    ??????

ummm why not get a crappy 88+ so you can really make it look good with plastic bumpers etc. i think an s52 is more deserving than a diving boards car.

The only thing that matters when you're choosing the suspension mods for your car:

What do you want to do with the car when you're done?

          325 larger strut housings
new inserts ( undecided ) bilstein sport or koni
springs ( undecided ) gc coils
e36 rack and new tie rod ends (won't e30 m3 rack be an easier swap?)
          control arms ( new - oe )
CABs ( undecided ) (offset bushings)
swaybars (from a cabrio and swaybar reinforcement kit)
brakes ( ? ) 325 rear brakes and ie or Lee's big brake kit
          rear arm bushings (ie/turner?)
          subframe bushings (ie/turner?)
if you going to do all that, get a camber kit also.
