540i calipers under 14" wheels?

Can I use 540i calipers without upgrading from the 14" sport wheels? I don't care if I have to make a bracket to hold the calipers.

umm...the stock calipers barely fit under the 14in wheels..

Ya nevermind, I didn't think so but someone told me otherwise recently. Just wanted to make sure.
