    brake fluid on my floorboard.

    :(

so yeah.. the brakes are fine..

and i figured out where all the fluid was "dissapearing" to. (please excuse my lazy grammar, it's been a long day)

my driver's side floor was SOAKED in DOT4 today... no clutch, and floormat is ruined.

the little plastic inlet tube on the clutch master cylinder has broken off, right where it meets metal.

is it AT ALL possible to replace that little sucker, without removing the cylinder? i remember it being a real bitch to get those two mounting screws started.

You could replace the plastic piece without removing the cylinder, if you had fingers the size of a mouse and the strength of an elephant.

Removing the master isn't so hard that you should completely rule out removal of it.

I remember the two mounting screws to not be that hard at all.

Jon there is also the metal line coming out of the master to worry about .

Yeah messing with the clutch master is no walk in the park ....sure it can be done but its no fun .

I have pulled and replaced that nipple before (on a members car actually) with the master in place and it was a major biatch .

Also the nipple should not be meeting metal ..there is a big fat rubber sleeve that the ni[pple goes into .

You might be better off removing the master since the other piece of the nipple is still in the rubber insert inside the master .

            FIXED!

i had to take the driver's seat out, but it enabled me to lay down and have the work right in front of my face..

i pulled out the big bolt that attaches the clutch pedal to the cylinder, then took out the two 10mm bolts that hold the cylinder to the bracket.

i was then able to pull the cylinder into the car a bit, and turn it over about 90 degrees.

with a little coaxing, the nipple popped right out.

the whole job, start to finish took me about 1.5 hrs.

not a total nightmare, but definitely NOT fun.
