    Brake and clutch line fittings

I'm trying to figure out what type of fitting the brake and clutch lines use in the engine bay. Specifically the fitting where the flex hose of the clutch slave cylinder meets the hard line. I need to install a swivel fitting here.

    Thanks

    The fittings should be M10 x 1.0.

Thanks, Mike. I'm having a HELL of a time finding swivel M10 fittings!

Are you trying to make these lines from scratch? If so, why aren't you using the stock parts?

I'm kind of curious myself. Beej, you're using the 260, so you should be able to just use stock clutch hydraulic lines, right? Even with a 250 or ZF 320, I just bent the hardline a little so it'd meet the slave cylinder at the correct angle.

What happened is I bought a braided stainless clutch line from someone on the forum. Well, first I ran into the issue that the swivel nut on the slave cylinder was too large to put on without removing the slave first.
Then I try to hook up the other end on the car and neither end swivels. The orientation of the line pretty much has to go how it is, and I'd almost have to drop the tranny to disconnect it from the slave. What a bitch...

So now I'm just trying to find a male to female fitting that swivels.

Why don't you hook up the clutch master side first, remove the slave cylinder from the trans, and just spin it on the fitting, no swivel necessary. Now reinstall the slave and you should be good to go.

yeah, might give it a shot. The hose was a little short, I had to remove the hard line from the bracket on the firewall to get it to reach. I'm going to lift the engine again this weekend and grind some more on 'dem motor mounts, see if I can get the engine to square up. I'll see if I can get the hose to work while i've got the engine lifted a bit.

                Thanks!
