crappy pic but are your brakes spongy? If so you have a leaking soft brake line or a leaking strut.

Both of those are cables , not fluid lines .

One is the brake pad wear sensor cable ...and it goes to the sendor in the caliper .

The other is the abs sensor cable .....and it goes into the back of the strut knuckle/spindle .
Thats really the only one that would/could leak .....and if its leaking its gonna be the wheel bearing .

You need to determine if its really got something coming out or if its just crap from driving through something .
Spray it off real good with brake cleaner spray .
Then check it after driving a day or two and see if there are signs of a fresh leak .

i will give that a try. i think its the strut, heres some slightly better pictures. and also i disconnected the battery for a moment and now the idle is alot lower and when i rev it it dies or almost dies on the way down. is it just the computer just sorting things out or is there something i need to adjust. just seems like a bad day for my car:(

Yes , definitely a leaking strut insert .
Replace them in pairs though .
Don't buy any domestic or Asian crap ....hold out till you can buy Bilstein or Koni inserts .

As far as the idle/dying issues , did you mess with any hoses or intake boot under the hood ?

You could also easily spray out the idle control valve with that same brake cleaner .

i dont think i touched any hoses under the hood but ive had a slightly cracked intake elbow for a while. i also just noticed that i think i have a loose rocker. could that affect the idle?

if you disconnected the battery, make sure your connections are solid since you put them back on.

i havent noticed any difference in handling recently. is that just the seals on the shock that are shot? and can i run them like this for a bit or do i need to replace them imediatly? im a little tight on cash right now

You probably dont need to replace them immediately, but you're going to have some funky suspension movement from that side since there wont be any proper suspension damping from that strut.
