Getting ready to start reassembly on my vert - ordered a box of new hardware to put together the subframe, trailing arms, and rear brakes including new parking brake hardware.
First question - should I just suck it up and replace the hard lines that run front to rear to the rear brakes? I know they aren't expensive, I just haven't had much experience in the way of replacing them, bending them, etc. Any idea how long they are?
Second question - this is going to be a street car, with maybe a few autox days. I'm leaning on just rebuilding my stock ATE calipers, and figured if I tore them down completely and rebuilt them, they should be fine. The pistons gave me a good fight though, and now I think I should replace them. Problem is, you have to buy the stainless steel aftermarket ones, as they don't make the stock ones as a separate part. So, is it worth rebuilding the stock calipers with these $66 pistons, or should I just upgrade to something else?
