    Bimmerworld control arm deal????

More noob questions from this guy in the suspension forum...

My ball joints are shot and I will be doing a lot of upgrades on my E30 318 IS. I am looking at the control arm kit offered by bimmerworld. It is the kit seen on the main page that has steel ball joint with powerflex control arm bushing for $199.99.

    1) Does this fit my car?, 2) Is this one control arm or is it a "kit" with 2?, and 3) if installing HR sport/Bilstein sport suspension setup, do i need to get the off-set control arm bushing? What is gained or lost by having off-set or centered bushing?

    Thanks guys

2 Lemfoerder control arms will run you at least 200, the powerflex bushings are nice. I've got them on my car.
I would suggest you get the control arms seperately to make sure you get the Lemfoerders.

I don't think the ones on the front page fit your car. Bimmerworld doesn't sell cheap junk and they do have the correct control arms ($89.99ea) and Powerflex offset bushings ($69.99/set). The offset bushing increase caster and yield better handling.

I got the set from Bimerworld a couple months ago, and they are Lemforder brand control arms. I went with the standard centered bushings. I now wish I would have went with the M3 offset style ones. I'll probably upgrade latter though.

They are not Lemfoerder. From the website:

"The control arms included in this package are made by Meyle. These have German-made full steel ball joints that are stronger and more durable than stock or most replacement parts on the market."

Ive never used Meyle CAs, but Ive heard they are not as good as the OEM Lemfoerder.

The BW control arms have been holding up just fine on my Spec E30. James picks parts based on quality, so I'd say that you won't go wrong with what BW offers.

The control arms are fine and good quality however the powerflex bushings are big pain in the ass to get everything reinstalled onto the car.
