Ball joint peeking out

Now after the wheel scraping experience, I was under the car changing the tie rod end, and now the damn ball joint that's connecting the control arm to the sub frame is poking out the bottom a good 2 inches.... This e30 is beating the shit out of me... I'll try to get a pic up soon.

If you are saying that the ball joint housing has slid out the bottom of the control arm, then that control arm needs to be replaced. I've never seen this happen with an OE control arm.

Long story short, stick to OE parts and try to avoid the after market. If it comes down to it, at least take a good look at it.
