    What did you use?

    I'm struggling like hell on the Passenger side control arm ball joint that bolts up to the subframe. I pissed some liquid wrench on it and well i wanna try to get if off, but every way i've tried doesn't cut it. I've got a 22mm stubby wrench but i have no leverage underneath since the angle is impossible to stick on some pipe or something to get that extra leverage. I tried from in the engine bay, using an extension and u-joint and the u-joint blew in half from the twisting...With that said how did you guys get to it? The m20's downpipes don't make it any easier. I remember it was a piece of cake on my m50e30 with stock manifolds.

    Any tips suggestions appreicated.

    My buddy and i used 2- 2' 3/8 extensions from the top. i think that would be the easiest way. i know it took a little while to get it right but once we got it on the bolt, it was a piece of cake.

      try jacking up the motor a little

        Was an flex socket of some sorts used? because its sorta neatly tucked there under the downpipes.

          I actually thought of that, and undid the nut at the bottom but it wouldnt free up. I know what do to get it free but i was thinking this is TOO much work to reach that damned nut so i put everything back lol.

            i can get a 22mm normal sized wrench to break it free and then continued using it for the next hour as i could only tirn it 1/25th of a turn every time....

              Yea when i did my it was a pain in the rear. But i have the m42. It probably has a little more room.

                I used a short 22mm wrench. But get ready for bloody or sore nuckles.
