Brake Lining Light is ON? HELP!!!

    Hey guys,
THis stupid brake lining light has been on for the longest time and i can no longer tolerate it. I tried, checking the brake lining sensor connection, changing the brake lining sensor front and rear, check brake fluid. My brakes pads are not low at all. What else do i need to check, and what else is wrong? How do i get the stupid light to turn off? Some help please. Thanks in advance.

Pull the bulb out of the cluster. My brake lining light was on for the longest time too, and nothing was wrong, I had it checked at 3 different brake places. The idiot lights on E30's jsut like to come on for no good reason sometimes.

Amen to that. I could have my Coolant tank overflowing and spilling out the caps, and the light would still come on. Sensor+wiring is fine too.

Just keep your eye on the amount of pad left, that's all that matters.

There's a sensor on your front left and right rear wheel (if you've got discs).

There is a short circuit somewhere in the system. If you know a good automotive electrician, he can probably diagnose the problem in an hour or less. If not, just pull the damn bulb out like everyone else does. ;)

Pull the blulb, if you sure, you have new brake lining sensors, and connection is good.
