Wrong MC?

Hello all. I have an 87 325e (non-ABS) and ordered a MC for it. It has 3 ports, but 2 are towards the front, and one towards the rear of the MC. The one on the car is 2 towards the rear, one towards the front. I "believe" I can simply (carefully) bend the lines to suit, and that this MC displaces the same fluid volume and pressure on all 3 ports. Is this ASSumption correct?

Well, I pulled the trigger and installed the MC. Feels good, no wierd excessive rear braking or anything. Mildly spongey, but perhaps a good bleed will fix it.... or maybe I'm not used to having a good MC. :)
