    Temp brake fix?

Is there a temporary way to fix a possible cut hardline? I only ask because im trying to get to Boston this weekend and I know I will not have time to change it/get the part. I'm suspicious because I thought the pedal felt a little soft, but I couldn't really tell if it was my mind playing tracks on me. On a suspicion I stuck my head under the rear and felt that the halfshaft was wet. I brought back what smelled like brake fluid. :(

While you could have a failed hard line, the leak could just as easily (and more likely) be from either of the two (per side) soft lines. You''ll need to get the rear of the car up in the air to find the source of the leak.

The only reasonable solution is to replace the failed parts. Brakes are really important and the only "work around" would disable the rear brakes. Not a good plan!
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Confirmed it was a hard line, cracked in the exact place I nicked it with a dremel last year. Doh! Yeah, just going to screw the trip to Boston. Sigh.

Depending if you have enough room or not, you could cut a piece out and install flair fittings with another piece to join the gap.

Or maybe JB weld for a VERY temp fix?
